Counter Attack (2008) - This mostly sleight of hand collection of card tricks includes several of my favorite
small packet card effects.  After learning the sleights you will need (included and fully explained), you will
leap right into the section containing small-packet, big impact card magic that works for real people. And
each
effect is carefully wrapped in an engaging (and usually humorous) presentation.  These are some of
my trademark routines including for the first time anywhere, my Guys & Dolls.  This alone is worth the price
of the book. (72 pages, 58 illustrations)  $35 postpaid in the United States.

Noteworthy (2008) - This 52 page booklet features top quality, humorous tricks gathered together to form
my new lecture.  Highlights include my practical and deadly Out of this World routine (I think it is also the funniest one around), several think-of-a-card routines that are both humorous and dangerous, a couple of
truly-impossible card locations and guest appearances by Doug Canning along with a previously unpublished
non-card effect by Marty Kane.  And while much of the material has appeared in my previous books, just
about every effect has been updated and substantially improved. You won't believe the improvements to
Spam Filter
, The Queen Doesn't Know Jack, and World Piece.  Everything is fully and clearly explained
so that you will immediately understand what makes the notes truly Noteworthy!  (52 pages, 11 illustrations)

Semi-Automatic Card Tricks VOL. 5

Written and Illustrated by Steve Beam
Hardbound, 256 pages, 100 illustrations

BUY THIS

Since the first volume was published in 1993, the Semi-Automatic Card Tricks series has become the
largest and most reliable resource for professional caliber, non-sleight of hand card magic. Full-time
magicians and conjuring hobbyists alike have come to rely on the creative card magic stored in these
volumes when they want to go for the jugular.  Calling on his 15 years editing the underground sleight of hand journal The Trapdoor,
the author seamlessly blends diabolical methods with humorous presentations proving once again that it is possible to captivate an audience with only pasteboards and personality.  In addition to fifty items of his own creation, the author has brought together over
two dozen of his friends from around the world who have contributed fifty of their pet effects to this volume. This is high-octane, low-fat, innovative card magic built from the ground up. These effects feature the latest in card trick technology incorporating new principles
and little-known subtleties. Whether you want to out-magic your fellow magicians or fry the synapses of your lay audiences, this is
real magic for the real world

The Underhand Shuffle

Written and Illustrated by Steve Beam
Softbound, 24 pages

 BUY THIS

This is the ultimate full-deck false overhand shuffle.  It is disarmingly convincing and amazingly versatile.
In addition to the basic full-deck shuffle, specific use shuffles are described for replacing the double
undercut, as well as retaining the center, top, and bottom stocks.  You will also find included the best
red/black retention shuffle available for those using Out of This World variations. Finally, the centerpiece
of the manuscript is a spectator-fooling, magician drooling multiple location which rivals Multiple Impact for full contact audience
devastation.  Each of three to five spectators cuts to his own selection, then fully shuffles the cards before returning the pack
to the magician.  In a sure-fire comedic killer, the magician nails all of them.  Suitable for platform or close-up…………………..$20.

(Note: Some of the ideas in this manuscript have been published in the Semi-Automatic Card Trick series.)

Digital Effects - The Magic of Joe Mogar

Written and Illustrated by Steve Beam
Hardbound, 230 pages, 200+ illustrations

J
oe Mogar has specialized in thimble magic for the last fifty years. Here, for the first time, Joe
parts with the secrets he has used to reinvent this branch of the art. In addition to diabolically
clever sleights, effects, and methods, there are dozens of ideas on how to introduce thimbles
into your act and how to present the material
.

Thimble magic is extraordinarily visual. Thimbles appear, disappear, morph, change color, migrate, and penetrate. There is
no dealing, signing, shuffling, memorizing, or counting. This is all magic, all the time. And, it is the best kind of magic, magic
that must be seen to be appreciated.  Multiple presentational hooks are included which can be interchanged with related effects.
There is even an innovative Routine Builder which will help you bring the individual parts together into a cohesive and flowing act.

Multiple Impact

Written and Illustrated by Steve Beam
Softbound, 16 pages

 BUY THIS

Killer Stage Routine – Steve Beam’s closer for the last 25 years.  5 to 8 spectators cut to a card and
bury it.  The magician doesn’t touch the deck during the selection process.  The deck is then shuffled
and cut by the final spectator.  With hilarious byplay, the magician takes the audience on an emotional
roller coaster – finishing with the audience in stitches and the magician nailing all of the selections.  Built
for stage use but it works well in intimate settings as well.  The complete presentation is included.  If you only buy one card trick this century, this should be the one…………………………………………….$20.
